So, Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire - we had a great time, it's a really long film but it flew by. We arrived at the cinema just as the adverts had started and the place was totally packed so we made our search for seats easier by going for the second row.
( random (and out of order) list of thoughts on the film. Other people will be doing it much better than me! )

I think I shall have to avoid my Flist like the plague until I have finished the damned book.....it's just too dangerous out there.

I have just got back from a couple of wonderful days in Spain, but ( not a spoiler at all, but you can't be too careful )

Supper on Friday with chums was seriously laid back and relaxed and very very garlicky. At 11.30 Kit and I drove into Manchester, parked nice and easily and joined the longish queue at Waterstones. We were given numbered raffle tickets which meant that we knew where we were in the queue so could wander around. All the coffee shops were closed, ( Read more... )

We are off to supper with four friends tonight, to a new restaurant in Chorlton amusingly called Marmalade.  All I know about it is that at the Chorlton Festival recently they had a stall and were grilling lobsters!  Which is encoraging ( Read more... )

well, it's time to report back on the weekend.
